Tanzim Zaman
Psychologist & Researcher
Tanzim Zaman is a psychologist with an MS in Psychology (Industrial & Organizational Psychology) from the University of Dhaka and a Postgraduate Training (PGT) in Psychotherapy from Bangladesh Medical University (BMU). She currently works as a Psychologist & Research Assistant with MonoKotha, an initiative of the Dream Research and Development Foundation, where she facilitates individual and group counselling sessions and leads community mental health programs. Tanzim completed her clinical training as a Trainee Psychologist at the National Institute of Mental Health & Hospital (NIMH), gaining direct experience in individual and group therapy across outpatient and inpatient settings, including CBT, DBT, couple therapy, and family therapy. She has also worked as a CBT Therapist with Moner Susthotha, delivering evidence-based interventions for stress, anxiety, depression, and coping difficulties. Beyond individual therapy, Tanzim brings hands-on experience in corporate wellbeing training, having interned in HR at Sonali Bank PLC supporting employee well-being and psychological safety initiatives, and completed 100 hours of Organizational Mental Health Training at the University of Dhaka covering workplace stress, emotional regulation, and communication skills. She also designs and delivers youth capacity-building and social skills training, most notably through the "Empowering Minds" campus mental health awareness program, which has reached 500+ students across multiple universities, alongside her work in leadership and youth awareness programs with BYLC. Her approach blends structured, evidence-based techniques, cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and emotional regulation strategies with a warm, client-centered style. She holds additional specialized training in CBT with couples and families, training-of-trainers facilitation, addiction treatment (UTC, Department of Narcotics Control), and suicide prevention and crisis support. Tanzim is fluent in Bengali, English, and Hindi; and works with individuals, corporate teams, and young people navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, and workplace or academic mental health concerns.
